Chelonians at the border between Togo and Burkina Faso
Between April and November 2025, a comprehensive field and community-based study was conducted across Togo and Burkina Faso to assess the distribution, abundance, and human interactions of tortoise and freshwater turtle species. Four primary activities (A1–A4) were implemented, generating ecological, social, and trade data critical for conservation planning.
